“The arts are for everybody: we need to break down the invisible barriers which disadvantage those from ethnic minorities.” Hugh Vanstone
Hugh Vanstone, one of the UK’s foremost lighting designers, is funding a new scholarship at Guildhall School. The scholarship will support a Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) undergraduate student training on the BA Production Arts programme.
As a donor, Hugh is passionate about the aim of the scholarship; by giving to Guildhall, he wants to address the lack of diversity in the creative and cultural sectors, particularly in the area of production arts.
The School is immensely grateful to Hugh and all our donors for enabling students to study at Guildhall, regardless of their background or financial position.
Mad about metrics? Care about #KEF? In our workshop on 26th May, we'll be thinking about how to report social value & non-economic impact in the next iteration. Join us as we respond to the recent KEF review by @ResEngland. Link - eventbrite.co.uk/e/workshoppi…
