Expressions of interest are invited to develop and lead a postgraduate programme in Arts Management at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. The aim is for the programme to be offered in full-time and part-time modes, with Professional Certificate, Diploma and Masters exit qualifications, with the first students enrolling in the academic year 2016/17.
An Arts Management programme will provide a complementary offer to the Guildhall’s existing degrees that focus on performance and creative practice in music, acting and technical theatre, and we expect that there will be opportunities for interaction between them. Guildhall also hope that the Arts Management programme will be able to draw on the full range of our partnerships, not least with the Barbican Centre and London Symphony Orchestra (LSO).
Expressions of interest should indicate track record in this field, and outline areas of potential for this programme, together with fee proposals for developing it through to validation in the Spring of 2015. Further details are given below, including background to the Guildhall School and objectives for the programme development phase.
Expressions of interest will be further assessed via a presentation and discussion with senior staff in September, 2014, and it is anticipated that revised proposals will then be sought prior to making the appointment.
Expressions of interest should be submitted by July 21st, 2014, to Esther Fowler, Executive Assistant to the Principal: esther.fowler@gsmd.ac.uk. Further queries should also be directed to Esther in the first instance.
