Guildhall School of Music & Drama 4th international Reflective Conservatoire Conference ’Creativity and Changing Cultures’

Call for Papers now open! – deadline to submit a proposal Monday 14 July 2014

Guildhall welcome proposals in the following categories related to the Conference Themes:
1. research papers & performance papers
2. practical workshops
3. symposia
4. round table discussions
5. other proposals

Conference Themes in 2015:
• Creativity, playfulness and improvisation: artistic development and experiential learning
• Interdisciplinary connections: meeting points, shared values, collaboration, interrogating differences between art forms
• The world in 2020 and beyond: conservatoires in society
• Viewpoints on the developing artist and the flow of exchange between teachers, alumni and professionals

Keynote Speakers include:
• Ricardo Castro, pianist, conductor and founder of Brazil’s NEOJIBA youth music training programme
• Liz Lerman, choreographer, dancer, educator, writer, and creator of the Critical Response Process, a rigorous feedback system for developing work in progress
