Lion In The Streets follows the story of Isobel, the ghost of a murdered nine-year old Portuguese girl and the journey she embarks upon in her attempts to track down her killer.
As Isobel drifts invisibly across a barren city landscape, she is witness to a chain of haunting kaleidoscopic snapshots that capture individuals’ lives at tipping point.
First performed in Toronto in 1990, multi award-winning Canadian playwright Judith Thompson’s dark and dreamlike narrative reflects on the machinations of a fractured society in its desperate plea to explain and validate its actions.
