With the theme of this year’s International Women’s Day being #ChooseToChallenge, at LSBU, we’re choosing to challenge the taboo that surrounds the menopause – not just in the work place but in daily life.
Following on from our first event for IWD2021 on Monday 8 March – Menopause – Challenging the Taboo – this is our second event focusing on the menopause.
Hormones, the menopause and mental health
This talk, delivered by Dr Rachel Teodorini from LSBU’s School of Applied Sciences, will explain the biological underpinnings of the transition from perimenopause to menopause and it will explore the range of physiological and psychological experiences throughout this transition and beyond. Some herbal and nutritional information will also be provided.
