Nomination for Creative & Cultural Skills Awards 2019

The Skills Awards shine a light on the individuals and organisations that have shown an outstanding commitment to skill development and learning in the creative industries, ensuring the next generation have the skills so that the creative sector continues to thrive.
The categories for the 2019 Awards are as follows:

Training Provider of the Year Award
This award will celebrate a Further Education college or Higher Education institution. It is for tutors or departments that have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to training, developing innovative ideas to enable young people to gain skills and opportunities to work in the creative industries.

The Training Provider of the Year Award is exclusive to members of the National Skills Academy Creative and Cultural

Creative Choices Award
The Creative Choices Award is for those who have shown continued excellence in breaking down the barriers to entry in the creative and cultural sector. This is one of our most popular awards and celebrates the great work done by the unsung heroes in our industry.

Intern of the Year
The Intern of the Year Award is open to paid interns working in the creative and cultural sector who have shown exceptional commitment and ambition to learn new skills.

Nominations may include an individual intern or up to three interns working over the same period at the same organisation in the same team.

Nominees for this award must either currently be an intern, or have finished their internship between March 2018 and April 2019.

Apprentice of the Year
The Apprentice of the Year Award is open to apprentices working in the creative and cultural sector who have shown exceptional commitment and ambition to learn new skills.

Nominations may include an individual apprentice or up to three apprentices working over the same period at the same organisation in the same team.

Nominees for this award must either currently be an apprentice, or have completed their apprenticeship between March 2018 and April 2019.

Employer of the Year
The Employer of the Year Award is for any business, great or small, in the creative and cultural sector, who has shown innovation or continued commitment to developing the skills of its workforce.

Mentor of the Year
The Mentor of the Year Award is for any individual working in the creative and cultural sector who has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to enabling young people gain skills and opportunities.

Nominations deadline: Friday 25th January 2019
Awards night: Monday 1st April 2019
