Peter Arnott’s big, sweeping play comprises class warfare, early photography and a challenging love story across those barricades. It weaves its way in and out of Edinburgh’s cobbled streets, respectable drawing rooms and opium dens to capture the tensions and duplicity of our “Athens of the north”.
