The British Academy is inviting applications from established scholars employed in a UK institution, to apply for the British Academy/Leverhulme Trust Senior Research Fellowship scheme which is funded by the Leverhulme Trust and administered through the British Academy.

Applications must be submitted via the British Academy Flexi-Grant® Grant Management System (GMS), accessible at https://britishacademy.flexigrant.com/

This scheme is designed primarily to provide opportunities for scholars who have already published works of intellectual distinction and who have been hampered in their efforts to accomplish a major piece of research by heavy teaching and administrative duties with little prospect of relief from any source. The principal purpose of these Fellowships is therefore to enable concentrated effort to be directed towards completing a major piece of research, which will be an important contribution to knowledge and understanding.

Result announced before: 31 March 2018
