Traditions and specialisation vs creativity for the conservatoire instrumentalist: Ian Clarke’s first-study Player Development through Creativity on the Instrument pilot explores methods of re-balancing the opposition through integration.

Kate Paterson and Carlos Lopez-Real’s project seeks new ways of encouraging collaborative rapport between conservatoire teachers, using video footage of one-to-one lessons to prompt reflection and dialogue about teaching practice.
