Six Nights In Naples is set in the San Carlo opera house Naples in 1943, it explores the tensions between British soldiers and Italian singers and musicians, and affectionately spoofs the conventions of opera and musical comedy. The plot is deliberately fantastical, with characters falling in and out of love with one another at a moment’s notice, while the ‘spirit’ of the San Carlo hovers in attendance.
