Lydia Fraser-Ward

Lydia Fraser-Ward is a freelance producer, choreographer and artist specialising in creating live performances in unusual spaces, with a particular focus on outdoor work.

She is the founder and Creative Director of Fantasy High Street, a not-for-profit arts organisation which creates performance events and installations in town centres to connect communities to their high streets in a positive way.  She also works as a freelance creative producer, working with companies across theatre, dance, puppetry, circus and film who want to explore new methods of audience interaction in public space. She enjoys the challenge of working in outdoor and unconventional spaces, creating events which are not only site-specific, but site-responsive, driven by her firm belief and passion that live performance can, and should, take place anywhere. Currently Lydia works as Executive Producer at The Lost Picture Show pop-up cinema and Events Producer at Emergency Exit Arts leading on their carnival projects.

In 2012 Lydia was awarded the Gabriela Tudor Fellowship for leading Dance Managers in Europe by E-Motional Cities & Bodies and in 2013 was invited to become a Fellow of the RSA. She still continues to build on her role as Creative Entrepreneur in Residence at Kings College London and Fantasy High Street is a resident Associate Company at Diorama Arts in Warren Street.
