Mahler Symphony No 5
Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No 1 in F sharp minor, Op 1

English conductor Paul Daniel, currently Principal Conductor and Artistic Director with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in Galicia, has performed with leading orchestras throughout the world. Tonight he conducts Mahler’s magnificent Symphony No 5 and Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No 1 with the Trinity Laban Symphony Orchestra at London’s Cadogan Hall.

From the opening trumpet solo and the funeral march, to the exquisite ten-minute Adagietto of the fourth movement, Mahler’s Symphony No 5 is grand in scale and depth and the excellent acoustic of Cadogan Hall, one of London’s leading concert halls, provides the perfect setting to hear these large orchestral forces.

To complete the programme, rising star Naufal Mukumi performs Rachmaninoff’s virtuosic Piano Concerto No 1 following his winning performance in the Trinity Laban Soloists’ Competition this year.
