Kingston University presents a free lunchtime music performance featuring Ewa Plywacz. Ewa is a third year Music BMus student, specialising in song writing, arrangement and performance. Trained classically for twelve years, playing piano and dancing, she fell in love with jazz singing in her early teens. Initially inspired by Ella Fitzgerald, her musical style is now clearly influenced by modern jazz singers, such as Kurt Elling and Esperanza Spalding. Accompanied by Ed Rice (piano), Zach Bair (double bass) and Niall McCann (drums), her performance will deliver a memorable mix of classic jazz, funk and contemporary pop music.
