The Culture Capital Exchange built on its existing work on the Research Excellence Framework, impact and case studies, by hosting a series of events timed in the aftermath of the REF results.
The Impact of Impact began a debate not only on the implications of the outcomes of the REF for Universities, and issues arising from those, but also discussions surrounding how in particular assessments of impact and case studies might be understood or expressed and developed for the future, with leading academics strategically involved in the heart of the 2014 process. Individuals involved in the 2014 REF were in attendance, including academics, administrators and case study participants. It was also designed to be of value to those who have not previously submitted, but who expected to do so in 2020.
