The life of Royal Holloway founder Thomas Holloway has been celebrated by a new display at Sunninghill Cemetery. The Council commissioned the project with the aim of providing information about Holloway’s contribution to the area and to direct visitors to his ornate tomb, which is located in the cemetery. In the late 19th century, Thomas Holloway founded two major institutions – Royal Holloway College (now Royal Holloway, University of London) and the Holloway Sanatorium, in Virginia Water.
