Robin O’Neill, conductor of the Orchestra Citta Aperta, L’Aquila, Italy and principal bassoonist of the Philharmonia Orchestra, visits to direct our Sinfonia Orchestra.
Showcasing this year’s new musical talent at Trinity Laban, the Sinfonia performs a diverse programme. Opening with the stormy companion to Brahms’ Academic Festival Overture, the orchestra journey through tragedy to the equally dramatic story of The Girl from Arles. The concert closes with Franck’s heroic and affirming Symphony in D minor, one of the most famous French orchestral works.
