Kate Dorney is senior curator of modern and contemporary performance at the Victoria & Albert Museum and co-editor of the Routledge journal, Studies in Theatre and Performance. She has published widely in the area of modern and contemporary theatre and performance curation and documentation. She curated the redisplay of the Theatre & Performance galleries at the V&A and worked on a range of display and interpretation projects including the film Encounters in the Archive (UAL/V&A) and the iPad app Played in Britain: Modern Theatre in 100 Plays. She is an artistic assessor for Arts Council England and impact and output assessor for subpanel 35 (Music, Drama, Dance and Performing Arts) for REF2014 and a board member of the Routledge Performance Archive project.
