TCCE member academics are invited to submit proposals for this exciting Winter Walking Weekend

Many of you will be aware of, or indeed have contributed to, our annual Inside Out Festival where walks and walking have always formed part of the week. Over the years, we have hosted topics as diverse as London’s trade, Victorian literature, the history of London theatre spaces and cinematic London.

In light of current interest in and appetite for content-rich, unusual and unique walking experiences, or simply for walking as a pleasure in its own right, we are delighted to announce that from 28 Feb – 2 March 2014 we will be running TCCE London Winter Walking Weekend.

We would be very pleased to hear from any of our academic colleagues from member universities who would like to lead a walk. We are happy to take proposals on any topic that will be likely to pique the interest of the London public or that simply aim to explore walking as a new methodology for research.

EXTENDED DEADLINE:
Please submit a short outline of your idea, along with a rough indication of your walking route, potential start/finish points and duration, to georgina@tcce.co.uk by 5pm on Monday 27th January 2014.

We will be posting further details about the walking weekend as the programme starts to firm up.
