Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) Studentship Opportunities

A wealth of studentship opportunities has been created by the AHRC for students beginning postgraduate study in September 2014, with TECHNE and the London Doctoral Design Consortium.

TECHNE is led by Royal Holloway, comprises seven universities and is one of the 11 AHRC Doctoral Training Partnerships. TECHNE’s vision is to produce scholars who are highly motivated and prepared for academic, public or professional life. Its students will benefit from a diverse and rich range of training workshops and opportunities to engage with partners in the arts and cultural sector.

The London Doctoral Design Consortium is led by the Royal College of Art, who is partnering with Kingston University and University of the Arts, along with industry representatives including BT, the British Fashion Council and the Design Council. The LDOC industry partners build on established links and previous work with the College, and will provide placements and support to researchers.

Applications are invited for both TECHNE and LDOC with a deadline of 4pm on 19 February 2014. Awards will be available for both full-time and part-time students. AHRC eligibility criteria apply.

The TECHNE consortium covers a broad range of subjects across the arts and humanities. View the full list of TECHNE subject areas and find out how to apply for a TECHNE award.

The LDOC is focused on practice-led research in design. Find out how to apply for an LDOC award.
