The Department of Journalism at City University London would like to invite students to come to our ‘taster’ session, ‘So you want to be a journalist?’

Open to: prospective undergraduates

In this session we aim to give students about to start Year 12 a practical insight into studying journalism at university.

The day is designed to give everyone some hands-on experience of the type of exercises you would do as a City journalism student. You will:

  • Learn interviewing skills in a live-on-camera exercise
  • Record a short piece of radio in our broadcast studios
  • Learn how to start up a blog, and get tips on how to keep it going

The sessions will be run by our BA Journalism academic staff, most of whom have extensive experience as journalists and broadcasters.
