By 2011, The London Centre for Arts and Cultural Exchange (LCACE) had investigated the multiplicity of ways in which their network organisation could be instrumental in enhancing current contacts and relationships between arts and humanities academics and the producers of content for broadcast media (television and radio). Having developed recommendations from research findings, LCACE held a roundtable event with the intention to develop further action points to take forward and deliver collaboratively. The roundtable unlocked the stories of academia and broadcast media. Out of the discussion came many recommendations for LCACE, which included propositions to develop training, foster knowledge exchange and found an experimental “lab” which brings production companies together with selected researchers and academics to explore potential collaborations.
