The London Centre for Arts and Cultural exchange hosted the event Impact Narratives to follow a roundtable hosted in December 2008. Impact Narratives was developed as a space to discuss the outcomes of a piece of commissioned research which examined the impact of LCACE’s annual Seed Fund programme. The research proposed the potential for four key kinds of Impact: Personal Impact, Network Impact, Knowledge Impact and Institutional Impact. The event disseminated key project findings from the Impact of LCACE project, presented a small number of reflective case-studies and hosted a panel discussion on the impact agenda. The dialogue focussed on new potentials to understand, articulate and value the impacts that academic research and practice brings to bear on the cultural sector and society more widely. Impact Narratives was supported by the London Development Agency and was part of the ‘SME and Research Intensive Universities Pilot Project’ taking place at King’s College London. This event brought together individuals who were contributing valuable and current research in the field.
