The London Centre for Arts and Cultural Exchange and Arts Council England hosted a conference entitled Beyond Prescription: Connecting Medicine, Culture and Research. The ‘‘Promenade’ conference was developed to debate the findings of research which investigated collaborative projects between the Arts, Health and Higher Education, commissioned by Arts Council England and undertaken by Jill Sheridan and Professor Linda Pring of Goldsmiths, University of London. The conference aimed to disseminate the findings of this recent research and to provoke debate around different case studies of arts and health work. Attendees included Arts and Health professionals, artists working in the arts and health area and their medical partners, funding bodies and policy bodies.
