Join us as we explore the role of cultural institutions as places and catalysts for wellbeing.
In this session we’ll be considering how museums, libraries and other cultural institutions play a significant role in bringing together ideas of community, health and place. As we have been witnessing, especially throughout and post the pandemic, cultural Institutions often play important roles in fostering bonding and connections building, which can, in turn, have a profound effect on our wellbeing and mental health.
This event will explore some of the ways in which cultural institutions are undertaking such work and will go on to consider how cultural institutions can provide opportunities to meet and forge new connections through creative forms of communications such as storytelling and dance. Such activities have the potential to create new bonds and connections, while enhancing relationships at different stages in life, and are said to have a positive impact on wellbeing.
This event sets out to explore this notion in greater detail.
