This is a free workshop, organised by UWL’s Outreach Team, designed for adults who are interested in exploring identity through body expression. No previous acting or body-movement experience is necessary. The workshop is suitable for all levels.
You will explore and develop your own individual abilities through imagination, play, body language, and group dynamics. This is a fun way to gain self-experience and build self-confidence and communication skills.
The workshop will be run by Marina Pallarès-Elias. She is a theatre director and applied theatre practitioner with more than 15 years of working internationally in many countries, including Nicaragua, El Salvador, Italy, Spain, Germany, England, Turkey and Mexico, creating plays with communities that need to be heard. She. is currently undertaking a PhD at the University of West London (UWL). Her passion is using theatre as a tool for social transformation where empowerment is developed through the collective creation of quality works giving voice to groups that are sometimes suppressed by society.
