Women Walking: Writing and Walking
This conversation between poet Dr Linda France, Climate Writer for New Writing North and Newcastle University, and writer Dr Samantha Walton, Bath Spa University, set out to explore the relationship between writing and walking, starting with a reflection on their own respective practices (as writers, poets, teachers, mentors, editors, facilitators, collaborators).
As well as readings from their work, the session provided a space for wider discussion and reflection on walking and writing and was an opportunity for those who joined the previous afternoon’s walk to come back to us, with prompts for further writing, discussion and reflection.
