A devised piece from our MA Theatre Lab students investigating family relationships, inspired by Aeschylus’ The Oresteia and the movie Festen, written and directed by Thomas Vinterberg.
This new work weaves together the classic Greek revenge tragedy in which terrible secrets are passed down through generations in a bloody chain of murder and revenge, and Vinterberg’s satire of the hypocrisy of a large and wealthy family unfolding through events at an anniversary party in their ancestral home.
