The Global Women’s Leadership Programme at Bayes Business School (formerly Cass) is delighted to welcome Carlota Sanz, co-founder of the Doughnut Economics Action Lab (DEAL), to discuss the radical concept of Doughnut Economics. This exciting model was developed by DEAL co-founder Kate Raworth and offers a compass for human prosperity in the 21st century – with the aim of meeting the needs of all people within the means of the living planet.

Sanz works with changemakers worldwide to turn these ideas into transformative action. Join us to learn about this drive for regenerative and distributive economies for the 21st century, and what this could mean for women across the world.

Carlota Sanz is the Co-founder of Doughnut Economics Action Lab and leads the development of DEAL’s emerging strategy. She is currently leading DEAL’s engagement with Business and Enterprise. Carlota combines her corporate experience with her passion for regenerative economics to design DEAL in a way that is future-fit. She was co-director of Economy for the Common Good UK and continues to be a member of ECG’s Knowledge Hub, which continually refines ECG’s standards for business accreditation and transformation. For over 10 years, she worked as a management consultant in the financial sector in Spain, for KPMG, Deloitte, Santander and Metro Bank, based in Spain and the UK. She studied Business and Economics at Carlos III University in Madrid and she has studied grass-roots business transformation, and narratives of new economics, at Schumacher College.
