NCACE is a new initiative led by TCCE and funded by Research England to facilitate and support capacity for Knowledge Exchange between Higher Education and the arts and cultural sector across the UK, with a particular focus on evidencing and showcasing the social, cultural, environmental, as well as economic, impacts of such activities.

Over the course of NCACE, we’re developing an online Evidence Hub to better document the scale, extent, nature, drivers of knowledge exchange collaborations between Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and the arts and cultural sector.

As part of this work, we are developing the NCACE Evidence Café as an online space to bring together people from both HE and the arts and cultural sectors who are interested in or working on these themes and who would like to get involved and potentially contribute their knowledge and experience to the evolution of the NCACE Evidence Hub.

We’re envisaging the café as a space for presentations, evidence and information sharing, story-telling as well as a community of sharing and takeovers where your contribution and participation can feed into the evolution of NCACE’s Evidence Hub. Each session will have a loose theme and we invite those of you who would like to contribute to get in touch with us.

For the first session we’re looking at evidence on relations between HE and the arts gathered from the last REF data as well as the recent KEF exercise with presentations from Dr. Federica Rossi (NCACE Co-Investigator, Evidence and Impacts) and Dr Hamish McAlpine (Research England).

The Evidence Café will be co-hosted by Evelyn Wilson (Co-Director, NCACE) and Emily Hopkins (Senior Manager, NCACE). Bring your tea, your notebook and as many ideas as you want.
