What if the only way to tell the truth is by putting it in a play – but you aren’t allowed to rehearse it, let alone stage it?

That’s the predicament our company find themselves in. But they aren’t to be deterred. They have a plan: they’ll rehearse anyway and be ready when the Censor comes to check, with an ingenious bluff to keep them all safe. But how long can they keep up the charade? And will they ever get to the end of the real play? This world premiere, commissioned by The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, explores why theatre is important – even if there’s no audience.
