This discussion will provide a platform for those leading on or involved with in the submission of KEF Narratives to share key learning, challenges and best practice in advance of the forthcoming submission.

Dr Mark Gray, Pro-Vice Chancellor and Director, Knowledge Transfer, Middlesex University London will give an opening provocation, and there will be a question and answer session with members of the Research England Knowledge Exchange Team.

Conducted in an informal Chatham House rules environment, the discussion will be shaped by participants to meet their mutual priorities, however we expect the conversation to include issues such as:

· What constitutes a strong KEF narrative?

· What are the most effective ways to incorporate evidence within your narrative?

· How do you balance “quantity and quality” in your narrative submissions?

· What are the particular challenges for post-92 and small specialist institutions? And how can they use the KEF narratives to best demonstrate the impact and value of their KE work?

· What are the most effective ways of collecting data and evidence for KEF narratives
