In this online presentation, Dr Ian Wilkie, Lecturer in Performance and Comedy at the University of Salford, will give a talk on the status of Comedy Studies in the Academy and outline research into comedy performance and audiences.
Dr Ian Wilkie is the editor of the journal Comedy Studies; author of Performing in Comedy: a Student’s Guide(Routledge: 2016); and is editor of The Routledge Comedy Studies Reader (2020). He teaches Comedy Writing and Performance and still, occasionally, works as a comedy actor.
