Alison May leads on the development develops strategy and policy for London South Bank Group. London South Bank University is one of the largest providers of Higher and Degree Apprenticeships in the UK with 1700 apprentices on programme. She has over 10 years’ experience in the skills and employment arena, starting her career in the travel industry, developing apprenticeships and training programmes before working in a variety of roles in both the public and private sector training providers.

Alison has worked on a DFID sponsored project, supporting the Oil and Gas Sector in East Africa to develop and implement a skill and employment programme develop high quality skills programmes. Alison represents the Higher Education Sector on a number of boards including the London Mayor’s Apprenticeship advisory board, the ESFA Provider Reference Group and the Department for Education Apprenticeship Ginger Group.
