Delve into the inspiration behind and making of Antigone, commissioned specially for Guildhall School of Music & Drama.
This exclusive Young Barbican post-show talk offers the chance to hear from its director Orla O’Loughlin – Guildhall School’s new Vice President & Director of Drama – and Olivier Award winning writer Stef Smith, as well as the Guildhall cast members.
This world premiere production is a contemporary retelling of the story of Antigone, her siblings and her city. An epic and lyrical reimagining of the classic Greek tragedy which mixes ancient legend with modern perspective, resulting in a powerful exploration of generational damage, sisterly devotion and how we find hope in the most desperate of places.
