Part of the Ealing Music and Film Festival – a strategic partnership with the University of West London.
Based on the story of Gustav III, Opera Holland Park’s 2019 production of Verdi’s masterpiece sets a tense love triangle against the background of a murderous conspiracy. Director of Opera and Producer James Clutton shares extracts of the production with an audience, discussing the process of filming and editing live sound and on-stage action for their new initiative ‘Opera on Film’ as part of Inspire, Opera Holland Park’s outreach and education programme. An insightful event looking at opera performance from behind the cameras. Directed by Rodula Gaitanou, conducted by Matthew Kofi Waldren and design by takis.
