Dr Claire Warden (Loughborough University) claims that, while exhibitionism is often clouded in accusations of narcissism and exploitation, professional wrestling might provide a useful site of enquiry to construct an alternative exhibitionism reliant on collaborative practice, on the shifting definitions of the ‘real’ self and the ‘exaggerated’ self, and the vulnerability and risk of intercorporeality.
