New MA bridges the gap between creativity and career

A multi-award winning screenwriter, producer and BAFTA committee member is offering potential students the chance to turn their creative talents into a career.

Carl Schoenfeld, who has produced TV documentaries, drama series and films such as My Brother Tom among many others, has a track record of bringing out the best in talented students. His previous protegees have gone on to write feature films that have been snapped up by the likes of Netflix, and set up one of the largest UK film courses in collaboration with the Raindance Film Festival.

Now Carl has turned his attention to the University of West London, launching an MA in Creative Media Entrepreneurship. This course will be run in close contact with the University’s Westmont Enterprise Hub. The Hub offers start-up business owners support in the form of office space and professional advice.

Stephen Fry, Executive Director of The Hub, said:

“We love supporting new business start-ups both from inside the university and those in the wider west London community who come to us looking for practical help and advice.

“This course will give creative professionals the opportunity to make a career from their talents and we can’t wait to start supporting these new entrepreneurs.”

The MA is for anyone working in the creative media industry who would like to develop the entrepreneurial elements of their work.
