This is the third and final in a trio of ‘BRC Lates’, an after-hours event where leading UCL/UCLH researchers and UCL Special Collections showcase work linked to BRC research themes in a sociable and relaxed setting.
Attendees will also be able to explore UCL’s unique collection of rare books, archives and manuscripts – including the chance to view items from UCL’s and the Action on Hearing Loss’ historic rare book collections on deafness and hearing.
Guest speakers Prof David Kemp, Prof Bencie Woll and Dr Peter Keating will explore the theme of Deafness & Hearing from changing the shape of testing hearing in babies, to explaining the history of British Sign Language (BSL) and find out what is new and showstopping in the world of research into we can adapt to hearing loss.
This event will be signed by a BSL interpreter. BRC Lates are open to all with wine, soft drinks and nibbles provided.
