‘Baroque Science: Early Modern Discoveries’ is an informal, drop-in exhibition of early modern scientific books from UCL’s Special Collections that are seldom on display.
The exhibition will give the public the chance to view famous scientific books in English and Latin which cover topics from physics, astronomy, and medicine. Experts will be on hand to discuss the contents and appearance of the books and their role in the development of science. Many of the discoveries detailed in these books are still relevant to us today and can help us understand current scientific endeavours.
Looking forward @JS_Diaspora opening a discussion with stimulus from award winning film #MyNameIs @mynameisdocu on 'Decolonising the self before we can decolonise HE & culture' @RADA_London via @InfoTCCE tomorrow as part of a broader event from 1pm to 3pm.
