British Academy Mid-Career Fellowships: Call for Proposals

The British Academy is inviting applications from established scholars employed in a UK institution, and within fifteen years of the award of their doctorate, to apply for the BA Mid-Career Fellowship scheme.

Applications for the Outline Stage of this scheme must be submitted via the Flexi-Grant system.

Applicants need to register, if they have not already done so, and should access full details by following the link from the Applicant Portal page to: Mid-Career Fellowships Outline Stage 2019-20.

The Academy intends, through this scheme, to support outstanding individual researchers with excellent research proposals, and to promote public understanding and engagement with the humanities and social sciences.

Level of award:
Fellowships do not exceed an Academy contribution of £160,000 under the Full Economic Costing regime.

The closing date for 2019, by which the application, reference and institutional approval must be completed, is also the same deadline for institutional approval: Wednesday 18 September 2019 at 5pm (BST)
