Film Screening: The Psychosis of Whiteness with Director Q&A

London South Bank University

Event Details

9th May, 2019
17:00 - 19:00
VG10, K2 Building, Keyworth Street, London SE1 6NG

As part of the on-going events organised for Black history, EquiNet presents this thought-provoking documentary which raises difficult questions about the relationship between history, memory, representation and power.

In light of calls to decolonise culture, the film makes a series of interventions regarding the role cinema plays in shaping ideas about race – ideas which have their roots in the history of transatlantic slavery. The event includes a discussion with the film’s director Eugene Nulman (Birmingham City University).
