Steve Potter (Guildhall School) presents a performance about relationality and race from the perspective of a white American musician raised on recordings of funk and trained in Western classical music.
With the help of guests, he examines his own position and his musical Afro-centrism, paying tribute to Cecil Taylor, Hazel Scott, Jesse Jackson, Muhammad Ali, Lester Bowie, Rakim and Eric B, and Kendrick Lamar.
