A talk by

Dr Ameeta Jaga who is a senior lecturer in Organisational Psychology, School of Management Studies, at the University of Cape Town (UCT) and a registered organisational psychologist. Her research interests focus on the work-family interface relating to issues of culture, race, class and gender, including advancing workplace breastfeeding support.

She has published and presented her works internationally, been the recipient of various research grants, and invited to present on international panels and plenaries.

Dr Bianca Stumbitz is a research fellow at CEEDR and has specialist knowledge on the subject of maternity workplace policies and practices around the world.

She has particular experience in exploring maternity protection issues within their specific policy and cultural context, with a focus on low-paid and vulnerable workers, and in examining the feasibility of innovative workplace maternity supports at low cost.

She has worked closely with the International Labour Organisation on maternity protection issues, and has recently undertaken related research in South Africa, Ghana and Malaysia.
