Performing Race will host a panel to bring together artists and sociologists that represent racial counter-narratives in response to the ideas of W.E.B. Du Bois of race as a social construction, to explore the nuanced threads of racial discourse and social interaction to re-conceptualise race as social performance. The panel will be followed by a networking drinks reception.

Dr Karamat Iqbal, Author of British Pakistani boys, education and the role of religion: In the land of the Trojan Horse and A Biography of the word Paki.
