More special guests announced for Cass Innovate 2018 Conference

Cass Innovate will be one of 2018’s premier inter-disciplinary events exploring ‘The Future is Now’.

Cass is pleased to welcome four more inspiring entrepreneurs to Cass Innovate 2018.

Becky Downing

Becky Downing is the CEO and founder of buzzvault, the world’s first digital asset vault built on blockchain.

By making it effortless for customers to securely catalogue their possessions, all from the convenience of their mobiles, buzzvault is creating a new kind of home insurance: transparent, data-rich and tailored perfectly to customers’ needs.

Already recognised by TechCity Insider in 2015 as ‘One of the 200 Most Influential People in Tech (UK)’, she won 2017’s Connecticut County VentureClash competition and, most recently, the prestigious DIAmond Award at the Digital Insurance Agenda in Amsterdam in May 2018.

Prior to founding buzzvault, Becky worked as a commercial litigation lawyer at top City law firms.

José Ignacio Valenzuela

José Ignacio Valenzuela is a Colombian doctor who specialises in Internal Medicine.

He is a pioneer of Health Informatics in Latin America and he was the first person in Colombia to be formally trained in this field. His work led to the first health eLearning programme in the country and the creation of Doctor Chat: the first medical orientation service in Latin America. He was also involved with first Center for Telehealth at a healthcare institution and the Biomedical Informatics Masters Programme – the first of its kind in Latin America.

José has also contributed to the development of eHealth policies in Colombia as a consultant for the Ministry of Health and as a former Member of the National Council for Science, Technology & Innovation.

José Ignacio’s contributions have been recognized internationally with multiple awards such as the NHS Professional Award in IM&T (Strategic level), the Innovator of the Year in 2008 award by Healthcare Informatics, and recently, with the 2018 Global UK Alumni Award by the British Council.

Currently, José acts as the Director of Biomedical Informatics at Universidad El Bosque in Bogota and Head of Medical Affairs for the Andean Region at Bayer. He is an active leader of digital health innovation in his region.

José is a City alumnus and holds postgraduate degrees in health management and an MSc in Health Informatics.

Laura Degiovanni

Laura Degiovanni is CEO of TiiQu, a platform that uses blockchain technology to create an immutable digital ‘passport’ as verified proof of an individual’s professional trustworthiness.

Laura possesses years of business and entrepreneurial experience. Prior to starting TiiQu, she worked in her family’s retail business before launching her own franchise with 23 stores across Italy.

TiiQu provides a new labour framework needed to face the challenges of the 21st century. The idea for TiiQu was born when Laura had the idea of an “Airbnb style of consultancy”, envisioning accountable individuals who would be enabled to choose work fitting their values. She then paired this with the concepts of blockchain technology which matched her vision of the future of work.

Roberta Lucca

Roberta Lucca is a serial entrepreneur and co-founder of the BAFTA and multi-award winning Bossa Studios, a scaleup games company based in London. She’s grown Bossa from a blank canvas to a multi-million dollar business, now with a team of 100+ people, and amongst the top 1% performing UK start-ups in terms of annual sales.

With a Computer Science degree, an MBA and over 15 years of experience in creating and marketing disruptive products across the globe, Roberta has been a voted top 30 Women in Games and 35 under 35 Women by Management Today. Currently, she also devotes time to angel invest and mentor bold and aspiring entrepreneurs – personally, and via her new YouTube channel called Beta Lucca.

Roberta’s companies and products have been featured on many networks and in many publications including the BBC, the Guardian, Forbes,Management Today and Wired.
