Central Joins Visa Pilot Scheme

Royal Central School of Speech and Drama - University of London

Central is delighted to announce that it has been selected as the only small, specialist institution to take part in a Home Office visa pilot scheme which aims to streamline the process for international master’s students wishing to study in the UK.

The scheme, which is being trialled at 23 top UK universities, provides greater support for students who wish to switch to a work visa and take up a graduate role, by allowing them to remain in the UK for 6 months after they have finished their course.

Universities taking part are given responsibility for eligibility checks, meaning that students can submit fewer documents than required in the current process alongside their visa applications.

The pilot will apply to students starting a master’s course in 2018 that lasts up to 13 months in duration.
