TCCE Arts and Health forum launch invitation

Following from our Sounding Board  meeting in Somerset House in June, a number of TCCE members expressed an interest in the membership taking forward key areas or themes that were recognised as having currency with several members. One of those key areas was Arts and Health. A conversation around this has been slowly unfolding since and we are delighted to report that our colleagues at University of West London and at City, University of London have been instrumental in bringing this inaugural event to fruition.

It is envisaged that the TCCE Arts and Health Forum will over time become a member managed initiative that could act as a mini-hub within the network to bring researchers together with interests in this area to discuss and showcase work, meet with professionals in the fields of Arts and Health and horizon scan for funding bids and other such opportunities.

We are delighted that at the launch of the forum two of our members will be presenting their respective work. These are Prof Victoria Tischler (Professor of Arts and Health and Head of Dementia Care, University of West London) and Dr Patricia Moran (Head of English Dept, City, UoL)

Presentations will be followed by a discussion and opportunity for all present to highlight their work, their interests in the group and how they might like to be involved in the future evolution of the Arts and Health Forum.
