Celebrate the wealth of talented performers and composers from the City community, alongside guests and friends of the Department of Music at this free, four-week music festival.

This year features world and UK premieres, freshly unearthed masterpieces, unique collaborations and performances that break with the conventions of the usual concert experience, using video, light and new technology.

The diversity of the department’s interests are reflected in events including music from across the world, jazz, electronica and classical chamber music.

Maya Youssef Trio, a suggestive performance of Kanun player Maya Youssef’s

From The City Studios, a concert of new electronic music, sonic art and audio-visual work, performed on an immersive multi-channel array of loudspeakers. Includes premieres of new works created by students working in City’s Sound Studios.

Between Sound And Sight, a concert-experience from emerging composers at City, interrogating the boundaries between sight and sound.
