We would like to invite TCCE core member academics and our Exchange Partners to contribute to the Inside Out Festival – our annual showcase for members, which is now in its 7th year.

We welcome proposals from all our TCCE core member academics as well as our Exchange Partners and ask that initial ideas are submitted to us by Tuesday 10th January 2017.  This year we are a particularly interested to see proposals based loosely on culture and technology but, as ever, are open to a range of themes.

Why be part of the Inside Out Festival?
The festival offers an opportunity for our academic members, from world renowned professors to early career researchers, to engage in new conversations and formats and to develop innovative approaches to engaging their research beyond the confines of their own academic community. Furthermore, it is a unique opportunity to be part of a large scale initiative that successfully attracts substantial media coverage.

Details on the last Inside Out Festival can be found here.

What’s new for the Inside Festival 2017?
2017 will see the festival taking place across one weekend (Friday 24- Saturday 25th March 2017) in a central London location (to be announced). This ‘one location’ approach will give audiences a richer festival experience and offer academics greater exposure to new and shared audiences and the opportunity to come together with our wide community of academics, creatives and the public.

What is the application process?
This opportunity is exclusively for TCCE core member academics and our Exchange Partners
If you would like to be involved in the festival, please download and complete an application form.
Initial ideas must be submitted to us via application form by noon, Tuesday 10th January 2017.

To arrange a telephone conversation about your ideas, please contact Georgina Potts

Please note: we will endeavour to accommodate a wide range of formats at the festival, such as discussions, walks, workshops and also performances and exhibitions, where possible. However, we do not have the resources to provide funding for activities.

If you are reading this after the deadline, please contact Georgina Potts to discuss.
