Join us at this one day conference organised by the School of Health and Social Care for an excellent opportunity to explore current issues in perinatal mental health
London South Bank University (LSBU) invites you to a one day conference: ‘Improving lives through Knowledge: A one day Conference on Perinatal Mental Health for Healthcare Professionals’.
Perinatal mental health is recognised as a public health issue. Enhancing the education of healthcare professionals is one way to strengthen the provision of care for women and their families. All healthcare professionals working with women and families should be aware of the serious implications of undetected and untreated mental illness within the perinatal period.
In addition to raising awareness of services and providing an opportunity to discuss clinically relevant issues, the focus of the day is to provide an update on perinatal mental health issues for midwives, health visitors, nurses, social workers and allied healthcare professionals who care for women with mental illness in the perinatal period.
